Towards Community

What do people think about when they think community? The weather held out just perfectly for another Syracuse favorite – the Westcott Street Cultural Fair. Alchemical was at the party on Sunday September 19th, and we asked passers-by a few simple questions:

1) What does community mean to you?
2) What resources or tools would be a benefit to creating better “community” in CNY & Syracuse?

Here are some of their answers:

Put the bus schedule on every stop sign.
LOVE
WISH LESS. DO MORE.
A Music Store
Jails are low income housing! Jobs not Jails, Education not Incarceration!Shut them down “Land of the Free” Home of the
Incarcerated.
Help families raise their children, community supports, school support, churches, etc
JOBS!
