In the next decade, human society will undergo a transition to new forms of farming, energy, food, transport, organization, economy, and environmental stewardship.
To prepare for and meet this time of rapid change is a challenge we face as families,

Transition Towns began in Great Britain as a community dialog and direct action
to prepare for climate change and peak oil.
