Hosted by the Environmental Finance Center in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration, this workshop, designed for Central New York businesses, will teach attendees more about composting within an office setting.

The workshop will cover:
– What is Compost, and Why is it Important?
– Why and How To Compost at the Office
– The SyracuseCoE Office Organics Team: A Case Study

Attendees will receive:
– General Composting knowledge
– Environmental Finance Center’s “A Guide to Office Composting” – New relationships to help with future questions and conversations about composting and sustainability
– All attendees will receive a small free sample from Divine Gardens, and are eligible for a raffle to win a wooden worm
bin built with +95% reclaimed materials

Speakers Include:
Melissa Young: Program Manager/Master Composter, Environmental Finance Center
Greg Gelewski: Recycling Operations Manager, OCRRA
Frank Cetera: Certified Business Advisor/Small Business Development Center at OCC & Northside UP

Composting is a team effort.

The cost to join in this workshop is $15/company and includes registration for two staff members. Otherwise the fee is $10/ individual. You can pay at the day of workshop, with cash or check (make checks payable to “Syracuse University”)
