Food and Health Security through Forest Gardening
The Rahma Free Health Clinic at 3100 South Salina St. in Syracuse will be humming with a work party for the Edible Forest Snack Garden on Saturday September 10th from 10 am – 3 pm. Lunch will be provided for all volunteers, and a special 30 minute Intro to Permaculture Workshop will take place at 12:30 pm. Projects for the day include:
Aerating the Soil and Cleaning Up the Site
Sheet Mulching with Cardboard and Wood Chips
Installing Sign and Raised Garden
Beds
Learning about Permaculture and Design
The Edible Forest Snack Garden Work Party is an official part of the Women Transcending Boundaries’ A-OK Weekend (Acts of Kindness).
