Clothes Swap at the Westcott St Cultural Fair

The Alchemical Nursery is hosting a clothes swap at our booth during the 2011 Westcott Street Cultural Fair’s 20th Anniversary on Sunday September 18th – all day!! The Fair hours officially are 12 – 6:00 pm.
Bring your clothing items (shirts, pants, skirts, dresses, hats, shoes, gloves, masks, belts, costumes, burlap sacks, feather boas, backpacks, purses, accessories, jewelry, anything really) in good and usable condition to the event itself, or you can make donations of clothing items before the swap by contacting Heather at
hghelman@syr.edu. This is a good opportunity to de-clutter your home before Winter. Come explore our mountain of clothes spilling out into the street during the festival and pick up a new style to try for yourself. Clothes will be swapped for free, take what you want and leave what you want.
Screen Printing will also be done on-site on any piece of clothing you desire, either your own or something you grab from the swap. We’ll have a first-time available staghorn sumac design on hand, and will ask a sliding scale donation of $1 – $10 for screen printing materials and supplies use.

“The Westcott Street Cultural Fair is an annual, one-day celebration of the diversity and uniqueness of the Westcott neighborhood through its culture: visual and performing arts, food, service organizations and activities geared to families and Syracuse and LeMoyne students returning to the neighborhood. The fair attracts more than 8,000 people annually to the Westcott Business District in mid-September for a day filled with great sounds, sights, tastes and more.”
