Permaculture Events, Programs, Courses for Summer 2012

We have a number of permaculture classes, courses, tours, and events approaching this season. Join us when you can, and please update your friends about them~ since they may find some design guidance, inspiration, and empowerment for creating abundance within an ecological culture…

Fri., June 22 – Fri., June 29; and Aug 19-26; TWO-PART, OMEGA INSTITUTE PERMACULTURE DESIGN CERTIFICATION COURSE, Rhinebeck NY. Permaculture is applied ecological design that mimics and replenishes natural ecosystems for sustainable living and beyond. Gain:
internationally recognized permaculture certificate, design guidance/ practice for onsite design project, ecological techniques for your backyard or urban setting. Enjoy the retreat center of Omega Institute, yoga and meditation classes, sanctuary, lake, trails,… Scholarships available. Part Two can be completed in 2013.

Anytime between June and November: SIRIUS ECOVILLAGE IMMERSION PROGRAM Live at Sirius Community for one month or more, participate in community life and work 5 mornings a week in the gardens or with the building crew, attend 5 classes each week in the afternoons (topics range from permaculture, to healing modalities, to art and music, cooking, orchard care, bike repair, etc…)

July 13-Aug 2 LIVING ROUTES PERMACULTURE DESIGN CERTIFICATION COURSE at Sirius Ecovillage, Amherst MA. Immerse in intentional community life and permaculture design practice for 3 weeks this summer. Learn from some of the best permaculture designers and educators in the northeast: Kay Cafasso, Llani Davidson, Jono Neiger, Dave Jacke, Eric Toensmeier, Ryan Harb, and more! Visit local permaculture landscapes at homesteads, farms, schools, and urban backyards. Conduct a design for your own client through a guided design process onsite. Gain 4 college credits from UMass Amherst (optional) and a permaculture design certification. Enjoy the pond, sauna, gardens, natural buildings, and community at the Sirius retreat center!
