I would like to you remind you that our next Climate Smart Communities webinar will be held at 10:30 AM tomorrow Thursday, October 11, 2012 and is entitled “Conducting a Vulnerability Assessment and Preparing a Climate Adaptation Plan.” This webinar is being presented in cooperation with VHB, an independent contrac
tor to NYSERDA and will provide an overview of the climate adaptation planning process.
The webinar will be supported with local resources to help your community conduct a vulnerability assessment and create a climate adaptation plan. Advice and case studies on implementation,
specifically how adaptation strategies can be incorporated into existing planning and decision making processes will be included, together with information on state and national level resilience efforts that may be useful to local planning efforts. (Agenda attached).
The webinar will be accessible to anyone via an Internet connection and telephone. Webinar participants must use the telephone call-in number; no audio signal will be transmitted over the Internet.
