Fermentation on Wheels in Upstate NY in July & August
Fermentation on Wheels is a grassroots, educational organization traveling the country in a solar-powered, biodiesel school bus outfitted with a fermentation lab. We’re visiting farms, fermenting foods, and teaching others about the importance of micro-agriculture, sustainability, and the role fermentation & preservation play in the food movement.
We have been traveling from Eugene, OR since October 2013 and are currently in Brooklyn, NY. This summer we’ll be in New England presenting at the Northeast Permaculture Convergence as well making our way to Tinmouth, VT for Solar Fest. We are looking to hold community workshops and potlucks in collaboration with farms, homesteads, and food justice non-profits in late July and early August along a route from Albany, NY to Scranton, NY. We will also be looking to collaborate with people organizations closer to NYC area in late August and early September.
All our events are by-donation and open to the public. If you or an organization you know might be interested in collaboration, let me know and I’ll send more details about our programming. You can contact me at tara@fermentationonwheels.com.
